GUNT Technology Ltd has been out and about across the UK, supporting engineering education through practical equipment training and visits to universities and colleges.

Our Technical Sales Engineer, Richwell Choruma, recently visited Keele University to provide training on two GUNT materials testing systems, the ever dependable WP 300 Materials Testing 20kN and WP 400 Notched Bar Impact Tester.
The visit provided an opportunity to work directly with university staff, helping them become familiar with the equipment, its operation and the practical experiments it can support.

The WP 300 allows students to investigate the mechanical properties of materials through tensile and compression testing, while the WP 400 is used to examine material behaviour under impact loading through Charpy impact testing.

Both systems provide valuable hands-on experience, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with practical materials testing techniques.

For GUNT Technology, equipment training is an important part of our customer service. Our involvement does not end when equipment is delivered. We work closely with customers to help them get the most from their investment and ensure their teaching equipment can be used effectively.
Visiting Universities and Colleges Across Northern England

Elsewhere, our Sales Manager, John Stead, and Technical Sales Manager, Henry Heckmann, have been visiting universities and colleges across Northern England as part of a wider programme of customer visits.

Meeting engineering educators and technical staff in person gives our team a better understanding of the challenges facing institutions, from maintaining and updating existing laboratory facilities to introducing new practical teaching equipment.

These visits also provide an opportunity to discuss developments in engineering education, explore future equipment requirements and introduce the wider range of GUNT training solutions.

With more than 700 different training systems covering over 50 subject areas, GUNT offers practical teaching equipment for a broad range of engineering disciplines, including mechanical engineering, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, process engineering, renewable energy and hydrogen technology.
More Than Just Equipment
At GUNT Technology Ltd, we believe that providing high-quality engineering teaching equipment is only part of the service.

Technical advice, equipment demonstrations, training and ongoing customer support all contribute to helping universities, colleges and training centres deliver effective practical engineering education.
From Richwell’s equipment training at Keele University to John and Henry’s visits across Northern England, our team continues to work directly with educators to understand their requirements and provide appropriate training solutions.
GUNT Technology Ltd is committed to supporting engineering education throughout the UK and Ireland, combining high-quality equipment with the technical knowledge and personal service our customers expect.
